Boot Modes

This section demonstrates boot modes of the JoyKit.

Regular Boot​

Turn on the power to enter regular boot mode.

In this mode, the primary display shows the content of line 000 in edit mode.

Test Boot​

Press and hold FUNC and ← keys then power on to enter Test Boot.

In test boot, the following components can be tested:

  • keys
  • Single colour LEDs
  • Full colour LEDs
  • Buzzer

  • Test information will be shown on primary and secondary displays
  • The state of user keys are indicated on top of the secondary display
  • LEDs are all ON

The buzzer will play a short melody with a few tones when entering Test Boot Mode, after 5 seconds it will turn to Regular Boot Mode.

Clock Boot Mode​

This mode requires DS1307 RTC module.

Press and hold FUNC and → keys then power on to enter Clock Boot.

If BME280 sensor module is also available, the environment temperature and humidity will be shown on the secondary display as well.

tip

Press â†ĩī¸ key to adjust date and time.

Use ← and → to move the little triangle pointer to point on Year, Month, Date, Hour, Minute and Second.
